Why do I need an adviser?
Identical twins Ray and Alan are aged 40 and directors (40% tax payers) in their family business. Both are married with children.
Ray wisely decided he should get some life assurance to protect his family, should he not be around to provide for them.
He decided that a £500,000 life assurance level term for 25 years would be sufficient, so went online, chose a very secure company and arranged a policy to be paid by direct debit from his bank account with a true cost of £62.79 per month.
He told Alan what he’d done and Alan thought that's a good idea, I should also set up a similar plan for my family. Alan, unlike Ray didn't arrange it himself online, instead he asked the opinion of his adviser John Townsend of Best 4 U Insurance.
John listened to Alans needs, and set up an identical policy with the same company, the one thing John was able to do, was provide a full explanation of what cover this policy would provide, something you don’t get online. The true cost of this policy however, at only £32 per month paid by direct debit, was nearly 50% less than the exact same policy his twin brother Ray had taken out!
John was also, able to point out that Ray's policy had a potential tax liability of £200,000 whereas Alan's was NIL.
As you can imagine, Ray was not best pleased when he found out, so got straight on the phone to John who has now changed his policy to £32 per month, with no tax liability - FREE OF CHARGE.
If you want a Meerkat or Brian Toy, go online however, if you want good advice, a policy that delivers when needed, please don’t hesitate to give me a call or email me.
